A Movement of Stories: How Your Support Brings Amara to St. Augustine

A Gift That Lasts Longer Than a Storytime

When Nola D. Oracle steps into a classroom or community center, she isn’t just reading Amara’s Adventures, she’s opening a door to imagination, history, and possibility. This September, during Literacy Month in St. Augustine, children will gather around as Nola brings Amara’s story to life. And when storytime ends, the experience continues. Each child will receive a Literacy Bundle that includes a bookmark, sticker, coloring sheets, crayons, a beaded bracelet they can create themselves, and their very own copy of Amara’s Adventures, a book they can keep, cherish, and return to again and again.

Why This Matters

For many families, a single donated bundle means that a child who might not otherwise have reading material at home now has a passport to learning. It’s not just a book, it’s history, confidence, curiosity, and a spark of self-belief.
When you donate to the “It’s Cool to Learn” campaign, you’re not just giving pages bound together. You’re giving a child their own adventure, their own hero, their own reason to believe in the power of stories.

A Movement, Not Just a Moment

This is the third year of the campaign, and already we’ve seen the ripple effect. From Jacksonville to Ocala, and now to St. Augustine, communities are stronger, children are more inspired, and parents are grateful for opportunities they never thought possible.
Every Literacy Bundle handed to a child is a reminder: we are building a movement together. One where literacy is not a privilege, but a right. One where every child has the chance to see themselves as explorers, leaders, and creators of tomorrow.

How You Can Keep the Story Going

This campaign isn’t possible without you.
Your donation fuels the bundles, funds the readings, and makes these moments real. Together, we are shaping a generation that believes learning is not only cool — it’s powerful.
👉 Donate today and be part of the movement.
Because every time a child opens Amara’s story, they’re also opening their own.
